But it was just my imagination running away with me...

One day I will attend a masquerade ball. I will wear a mask and captivate those around me with my smile. I will be capable of doing this because the mask will conceal my identity, allowing me to escape from myself and moonlight as a confident and intriguing woman for those short few hours. I will wear my hair pinned up, with a few delicate curls caressing my shoulders. I will wear a dress like no other I will wear in my lifetime - a ballgown so beautiful that for a short while I will feel unstoppable. And finally, I will embrace the occasion and dance as though I'm from another time, another life.
